MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Our client is going through a significant period of growth and our now looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join the team.
A generous starting salary of 48k to 55k dependent on experience, a 6k car allowance and generous company bonus scheme
Key Responsibilities/Key Tasks:
The management of our commercial relationship with a portfolio of leading UK FMCG retail multiples.
To agree and deliver the trading plans with those key partners to meet the business objectives in delivering both sales and profit targets.
To be responsible for the management & delivery of the P&L targets within their customer portfolio.
Develop, deliver, and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities in line with objectives and within our rules of engagement.
To be the business lead internally representing customers' needs and ensuring cross functional commitment to deliver agreed goals.
Forecast management to play a key role in delivering our optimum customer service levels.
Manage and deliver against the sales and margin targets (including New business targets) for set portfolio of trading partners.
Implement annual customer business plans inline with the sales strategy and manage the customer execution
Establish a pipeline of new business opportunities inline with the Sales Strategy and track and monitor delivery.
Develop strong customer relationships and influence in our top customers; foster and develop a strong network across those customers.
Alongside Category Team develop category insight to optimise performance.
Lead and work cross functionally to unlock and convert profitably new business growth & value chain opportunities.
Manage customer contract and terms negotiations to meet business needs and requirements.
Ensure we meet the cross functional requirements in terms of Technical & Development plans through co-ordination of internal teams.
Other Responsibilities:
Be the voice of the customer internally to enable to deliver against consumer and customer opportunities
Establish and develop strong relationships and ways of working with colleagues e.g. Planning, Technical, Purchasing and NPD to both be a leader in managing issues, but also to be the conduit that drives and delivers a balanced approach to commercial opportunities cross functionally.
Work closely with the NPD, Process and Finance teams to fully understand product, category, customer and channel P&Ls to best maximise NPD , category, and customer profit opportunities

Experience
NAM / SNAM background in FMCG with experience working with one (or more) of the Top 4 leading UK multiples or 2 leading Discounters.
Experience in working with private label brands.
Knowledge
Insight into the Channel dynamics - can demonstrate use of insight to drive Category growth.
Skills
