We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Supervisor based at our Head Office in Shrewsbury.
In this role, you will be required to oversee and support the Fleet dept. supervising the day to day running of over 120 Company owned vehicles (consisting mainly of commercial transit sized vans) which are spread across the UK, a summary of the role responsibilities are as follows;
* Negotiating service agreements with service suppliers, including but not limited to dealerships, garages, breakdown recovery services, Hire/Lease companies and fuel providers
* Ensuring vehicles are operational and compliant with minimal downtime during working hours
* Initiating and proposing strategic changes to the fleet and it management to become more efficient and cost effective to run
* The procurement and sale of vehicles
* Introducing and maintaining all Fleet policies
* Providing statistical reports to board of Directors covering areas such as life cycle reporting, MPG consumption, fleet costings as well as highlighting operational and health and safety risks.
* Identify and introduce fleet improvements to improve safety whilst reducing insurance premiums
This list is not exhaustive, and you may be required to complete tasks not listed above as part of your day-to-day workload.
Essential Criteria:
* Experience of managing a fleet of vehicles
* A Full UK Driving licence
* I.T literate with competance in operating MS office products
* Ability to work under pressure with a calm and logical train of thought
Desirable Criteria:
* Experienced in negotiating service agreements with suppliers
* Procuring and selling of vehicles
* Experienced in analysing fleet data and producing high level reports
