Responsibilities
Assessing technologies and developing manufacturing plan.
Follow the product life cycle, FMEA, specifications, process development and supporting NPI builds.
Establish, deliver, and maintain manufacturing processes for new products throughout the product life cycle:
Analyse new equipment with the intent of achieving continuous improvement of present methods.
Create programs for automatic programmable equipment.
Develops process documentation and trains personnel on new and existing processes.
Develops and performs designed experiments (DOE) and capability studies, develops process specifications, and designs and procures process tooling.
Supports production in high-level technical problems
To analyse performance and liaise with Quality to investigate trends and recommend process improvements.
Daily problem solving of assembly processes using root cause analysis.
The creation & control of manufacturing documentation.
Other relevant duties as required.
Experience/Qualifications
BEng graduation would be advantageous.
Understanding DFM processes.
Understanding lean manufacturing techniques.
Able to read electrical drawings, assembly drawings and technical notes. Ability to read and thoroughly understand technical manuals and documents.
Understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP).
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Can communicate, both within the working group and the various levels of the organisation.
Understanding Project management.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
The Package
The minimum salary offered for this position is GBP35,000 pa however the client may pay up to GBP45,000 pa to a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
