This position is part of our clients Corporate and Shared Services global teams. Their teams play an important role in executing the companys strategic mission and operations, including business functions.
Summary
The Systems Support Engineer will primarily support both hardware and software related needs for an end user community of approximately 3000 users. The users are both local, as well as remote. This role will be the main escalation point for all end user computing needs.
The Role
• Primary escalation point for all client hardware and software related needs
• Support client related operational tasks
• New client hardware imaging and deployments
• Application deployments and upgrades
• Windows 7/10 operating system support
• Business productivity and manufacturing application support
• Microsoft Office
• SolidWorks
• Site level Active Directory object management
• User, group and computer object management
• Support of Office 365 / Exchange Online related tasks
• Support of remote users
• Basic Windows server support technical requirements
• Extensive experience working with Windows 7 / 10
• Extensive experience working with Office 2016 / 2019
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience supporting an Engineering organization running SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Basic understanding of networking technologies • Experience with Help Desk software
• Experience working with client imaging and software deployment products
• Experience working with Office 365
• Experience working in an IT environment that leverages both external and internal resources.
• Experience using SQL Server a plus
About You
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in Business, IT or related field, will have proven analytical technical support skills and the ability to multi-task.
