We are seeking to recruit a Systems, IT and Commercial support technician for a permanent role in a manufacturing company based close to the Aston area of Birmingham.
The main duties in this role will be:
• Manipulating data received and drawn out from customer portals and/or orders, presenting it in required formats to the Commercial and Production Planning departments, ensuring teams have the most up-to-date information at all times.
• Maintaining customer schedules and/or delivery dates - from customer-supplied information and/or internally-provided data.
• Working with Production Planning to confirm delivery dates and updating information as required.
• Production of sales forecasts on a regular basis, as required by the management team, generated from all incoming orders and schedule data.
• In-house IT Liaison with our chosen external IT Support Company for all PC, software and networking issues.
• New PC Configuration for new starters and replacements when required, such as ordering equipment, installing software and linking to the company network.
• Assistance with transition from server-based operations to operating from the Cloud.
• Driving our internal I.T. Policies forward with efficient, productive and economical practices in mind.
• Personal Support and Training when required for new staff.
• Undertake any other reasonable management request in line with business needs.
Person Specification
• Minimum qualification level - A-levels. Degree or higher preferred.
• Detailed understanding of computer networks, systems, hardware and software.
• Highly analytical and comfortable working with large quantities of data.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Previous use of integrated MRP/ERP system preferred.
• Previous use of SAP also preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels both verbal and written.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Must embrace change and be willing to adopt new skills to support all areas of the business.
• To be flexible in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is desirable
