SOC Analyst, up to 32K
MSP
Preston or Surrey / Home working
Elite MSP, who acts as a technology partner to clients all over the UK and USA, is looking for SOC Analyst to work on their client's site, based in Preston or Surrey 1-2 days a week, as well as from home. Reporting directly to the Security Manager, you will be responsible for the network defence, monitoring, discovering, and analysing threats, as well as maintaining secure network traffic and respond to suspicious activities
Skills / Environment:
*Ideally 2 year's experience in a SOC/NOC Role
*Azure Sentinel experience
*Understanding of key network monitoring protocols including SNMP, NetFlow, WMI, syslog, etc.
*Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and Cisco network devices
Highly desired
*Strong understanding of network devices such as IDS, IPS, Firewalls, file integrity monitoring.
*O365 Security knowledge
*SIEM tool experience
*Technical background and experience within Security Role.
As the successful SOC Analyst, you will assist with SIEM/log management using Azure Sentinel, provide security incident management support, and collect, analyze, and report security data. Being proactive, and providing recommendations that can help prevent future security breaches, is key.
