Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Contract: Grade E, 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, fixed term contract
We are looking to appoint a highly skilled HLTA to primarily manage and deliver interventions and to cover classes during planned or unplanned teacher absence. It is likely that you will be based in Upper KS1 and Lower KS2 but there may be a need to cover anywhere across the school.
As part of your role, you may be required to:
- cover teacher or teaching assistant absence (occasionally for extended periods of time), e.g. for sickness course etc;
- plan, manage and deliver interventions across a key stage;
- cover the class to allow a teacher to run interventions;
- attend meetings as required sometimes at the start or end of a school day
- plan, teach and evaluate lessons (with some support from teachers);
- assess and mark work completed whilst teaching groups and classes
