Events Manager
A rare and exciting opportunity to join a busy media events and marketing team. You'll be delivering high profile B2B events for flagship brands. Our client is a Bath-based publisher and event organiser. This role is working within its in-house events and marketing team to deliver events across Bath, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter.
This varied role will involve the following responsibilities:
Liaising with event contractors, agreeing contracts
* Booking venues for events
* Budget responsibility for events tracking revenues and controlling costs
* Organising virtual events, setting up Zoom / Hopin / YouTube, coordinating contributors
* Researching and booking speakers
* Coming up with creative concepts
* Creating contracts and account managing event sponsors
* Internal communications about events
* Front of house and networking at owned and 3rd party events
* Organising AV requirements for live events
* Agreeing event menus, schedules
* Seating plans, (Apply online only) guests
* Organising event hosts
* Writing and giving staff briefings
* Event admin such as labels/name badges, ordering equipment
* Devising contract agreements with suppliers for goods and services
Skills
* Strong communication skills
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Clear and accurate writing skills
* Highly organised with attention to detail
* Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. InDesign and Photoshop experience would also be beneficial
* Eye for design, creativity
* Full driving license
Approach
* Great clarity on all communications: formal marketing, email, liaison
* Proactive, thinking ahead, get-things-done attitude
* Energetic and willing to go the extra mile
* Friendly and approachable
* Work well as part of a team, be helpful
