The Role

As a Leachate Treatment Plant Manager, you will manage our wastewater (specifically landfill leachate) treatment plants in Bedford.

This will involve managing and operating the biological treatment, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis-based wastewater treatment plants.

Maintaining safe and efficient operations, you will ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and aim to meet financial and production targets.

Additionally, you will:

- Undertake routine maintenance
- Operate PC-based software control and monitoring systems
- Undertake routine laboratory testing of inputs and outputs from the facilities
- Organise and manage contractors
- Undertake routine monitoring of process plant and the treatment site as a whole

About You

To be considered as a Leachate Treatment Plant Manager, you will need:

- A Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) in non-hazardous (or hazardous) waste treatment operations or other suitable experience
- Knowledge of pumps, mixers, aerators or similar equipment
- Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques, biological treatment, ultrafiltration and/or reverse osmosis
- To have a HNC qualification or a degree in science or engineering OR experience of process plant control and operation
- A full, valid driving licence
