Job description
Position: Production Team Leader
Shift: 14:00 - 22:00 (37.5 hours)
Major GPS are recruiting for an experienced Production team leader to work a twilight shift. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful applicants will fulfil the role of Team Leader with a heavy emphasis being placed on the deputizing for the Production Manager, and the coordination of resources as appropriate to achieve Production targets and improve productivity
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
* Lead the Shift in autonomy on a daily basis to deliver the business needs
* Make decisions as required to optimise Safety, Quality, and Delivery
* Audit team compliance to established standards and operations, and intervene as appropriate to ensure these are met in full
* Own production administration including return to works, annual leave, and hand over forms, ensuring completed within established time scales
* Liaise with Production Manager and relevant departments to ensure turnaround is managed to target
* Effectively utilize the strengths and skills of those within the team to ensure all business and customer demands of the production teams are coordinated and effectively achieved.
* Monitor capability and outputs of those within the team, and Identify training needs such that performance of the individual and the team are optimised
* Ensure clear and concise communications via the Dashboard process
* To coordinate continuous activity across the facility ensuring the supervisory teams are aligned with improvement projects
