HRGO are seeking a Customs Clearance Senior Day Supervisor for our established and reputable Client based in the Dover area. Good analytical and excellent organisational skills are essential, and you must work in a methodical manner and be able to respond effectively to enquiries. This role will suit a candidate that is experienced in clearance and declarations. Your role will be to support the Customs Clearance Manager in the day-to-day management of the Customs Clearing team and you should have a minimum of 3 years clearance experience.
Duties Include
Manage the day-to-day operation for the Customs Clearance Team
Manage the training and development of Customs Clearing staff
Processing Import/Export declarations
Keeping up to date with changes in regulations, laws and customs procedures
Processing all customs documentation
Dealing with general enquiries from importers / exporters concerning all areas, relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications and Duty Rates
Calculating Duty / VAT cost for each consignment
