JOB TITLE: Production Improvement Engineer
COMMUTABLE FROM: Stoke-on-Trent, Stone, Leek, Alton, Stafford, Crewe, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Congleton, Market Drayton, Stafford
SALARY AND BENEFITS:
* GBP24,000 - GBP25,000 per annum (DOE)
* 25 Holidays + bank Holidays

COMPANY INFORMATION: Our Client is a leading specialist in Electromechanical Engineering that design, build, service, repair and distribute across the world. They currently operate multiple sites in the UK and across the globe.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
* Mastery knowledge of industry best practices and disciplines. Considered a subject matter expert within the organization and contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
* Develops solutions to highly complex and uniquely challenging situations. Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and variables. Expected to make improvements to policies and procedures.
* Works independently toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion. May act as informal team lead and/or coach less experienced team members.
* Serves as consultant to management and/or internal/external spokesperson for the organization on major initiatives related to policies, plans and long-range objectives.
* Actions may impact the organization and its reputation. Effects of erroneous decisions may be long-lasting, influence the future course of the organization and/or require the expenditure of extensive additional resources.
ROLE INFORMATION: The successful candidate will be able to analyses operational systems, workflow and methods to improve productivity and customer satisfaction. Establishes standards that utilize facilities safely, efficiently and cost effectively.
Duties will include:
* Develops equipment layout, workflow and accident prevention measures to maintain efficient and safe utilization of people and facilities.
* Identify and implement best practices across operational areas.
* Develops a solid process foundation and data integrity to support process improvement through the organization.
* Contributes to implementation of re-engineering and continuous improvement. Includes root cause analysis, solution set development, implementation and corrective action plans.
* Coordinates layout and the move process for building moves and equipment installation and removal.
* Develops or contributes to operational performance metrics reports.
* Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.
* Other duties as assigned.
