Planner (Supply Planner)- GBP30k -GBP32k
Do you enjoy been at the centre of a food business? That's certainly how it feels when you're in the Planner seat. Being involved in the full end to end supply chain dealing with suppliers, working with the internal teams and being a point of contact with the customers - no two days are the same.
Reporting into a Senior Buyer who is dynamic and passionate with years of experience in the food industry, the planner will add to the team and be the 'go to' supply chain specialist for the business.
The Business
Is dynamic and responsive.
Has an outstanding and inspiring leadership team from the top down including Procurement, Technical and General Management.
Last year invested in its management capabilities attracting two excellent managers into the Supply Chain function.
Have been impressively agile and innovative over the last 12 months.
Is team focused with clear goals.
Has a pace led environment with clear, open and honest communication style.
The Supply Planner is responsible for
Accurate stock management, planning and forecasting.
Reacting at speed when required but being proactive in approach to the supply chain needs.
Managing stock levels and ensuring consistent accurate inventory management for constant up-to-date visibility.
Focus and awareness on trends and customer order patterns.
Daily communication with suppliers to keep ahead of orders, avoiding supply issues, ensuring levels meet demand.
Working closely with logistics and operational teams to ensure efficiency of the operation from both the inbound and outbound supply chain processes.
What you need to apply
Previous experience in a planner or stock control role in food manufacturing/food retail or food service.
Enjoy working with and able to interpret data.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
Strong communication skills - written and oral.
Keen to learn and develop with the possibility to progress into a junior buying role.
Adaptable, a quick-thinking resolution focussed approach.
Positive and upbeat in style able to work well in a team environment.
