Big Ant Group are seeking an experienced Lead Cook / Chef for a school we are working on behalf of, based in the Kingsbridge area.
This role is immediately available and offers 30 hours per week during term time (39 weeks of the year). Generally 8am until 2.30pm
We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring every child has the opportunity to enjoy a healthy school meal.
Within the Catering Team, it is their aim to ensure they can provide nutritious school meals and ensure children have the energy and concentration to enable them to get the most out of their learning and activities.
The role will involve preparing and cooking balanced meals to a high standard following strict hygiene and cleanliness at all times. You will also be required to lead a team of catering assistants and liaise with the wider school to develop and improve the service.
The school is keen to offer and support you in your journey and offer FREE Level 2 qualifications. You will also be open to Trust Benefit Schemes as well as a 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme and the Generous Local Government Pension Scheme
