Salary: GBP10.00-GBP12.50 per hour offering double hourly rate for bank holidays
Job description:
* Assisting other members of staff with giving care
* To promote and assist individuals to maintain their personal hygiene, cleanliness and appearance
* Assisting the individuals with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet
* Utilising equipment to move individuals when necessary
* Helping tidy the individual's home or room
* Taking the individuals vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
* Talking to individuals and reassuring them
As a Healthcare assistant you will need to:
* Be able to effectively communicate with individuals
* Have compassion, empathy and understanding
* Have a positive friendly energy
* Reliable
* Wear a uniform
* Undertake any other appropriate duties as required by the individual(s) that you support, perform all duties in accordance with the organisation's policies and procedures.
* Be aware of, and follow the procedure for, reporting any safeguarding concerns or incidents, keep accurate records
* Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the individuals you support and your colleagues
