Digital Trading Manager

We are recruiting for a Digital Trading Manager to join our retail client in Dorset.

About the Role

Our client is the UK's leading retailer within their sector with over 100 stores and an e-commerce channel that has grown substantially over the last 2 years. This is an exciting role that is vital to driving product performance and delivering an ambitious digital growth strategy.

As the Digital Trading Manager, you will be accountable for defining eCommerce trading and merchandising strategies across categories that are in line with the brand and business goals, delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

The ideal candidate for this role is data driven, innovative, enthusiastic, and customer focussed leader with proven experience driving digital revenue, who has great problem-solving skills, and can lead a team forward. You must demonstrate your technical skills, working across different tools and processes from website management, digital marketing and advanced data analysis, combining data and experience to plan, built and deliver core merchandising experiences online for the brand

About you

• 6+ years of experience in online trading, merchandising, marketing, or eCommerce for an established direct-to-consumer brand
• Exceptional organisational skills
• Customer focussed with a proven track record of considering customer journeys and applying customer and campaign insights to merchandising decisions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and influence delivery and change
• Analytical, numerate and results orientated with good commercial and KPI understanding and experience using online analytical tools
• Ability to work at pace, be agile and nimble in line with working in a retailing environment, adapting to consumer needs in the moment.
• Strong creative, critical thinking, and intuitive problem-solving skills
• Superb communication skills, clear and concise in both written and verbal communication
• Strong people manager with a demonstrated track record of building, leading, developing and retaining effective teams
• Solid understanding of SEO and site content strategies
