Purchasing Coordinator; Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire; up to GBP30K depending upon experience
A Potteries based construction company is recruiting. This company is one of the leading sub-contractors of it's kind within the UK and work on GBPmulti-million projects across the industrial, leisure, healthcare and commercial sectors. The company are currently looking to strengthen their Purchasing department with the appointment of a Purchasing Coordinator.
The main purpose of the Purchasing Coordinator role is to effectively contribute as a key part of a small team, to the company's purchasing department. Responsibilities include;
* Maximising a range of IT databases and software including MS Excel to accurately and effectively communicate operational data to colleagues and other departments
* Ensuring best prices are negotiated with suppliers
* Practicing timely activity for material procurement from release to delivery
* Ensuring lead times correspond with production plans and site project requirements
Applicants for the Purchasing Coordinator role should have purchasing, buying or procurement experience and excellent IT skills. Applicants should also be well-organised, dynamic characters with excellent communication skills.
