Customer Service Clerk

37.5 hours (Monday - Friday)

A great opportunity to join our customer service team on a temporary basis. You will report to the customer service team leader and will be responsible for delivering first class customer service to our retail customers by means of liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Our customer service team support a diverse portfolio of retail customers and are continuously providing innovative solutions to support both our customer needs and business growth.

To be successful in this role you will possess a customer centric mind-set and you will have a proven track record of continuously contributing to improving both internal ways of working and the customer experience.

This role will involve some element of travel to our central customer service operations department based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Your Key responsibilities:

• Primarily lead on all proof of delivery (POD) related processes for business unit.

• Systemically confirm completed deliveries in a timely manner.

• Work closely with transport and wider functions to feedback on POD retrieval performance with the ownership of driving process improvements.

• Provide weekly reports to senior management on POD performance

• Support customer service team with investigating pallet receipted quantities vs expected to minimise potential claims / missing stock

• Attend retailer hosted calls and feedback issues / performance related to POD retrieval

• Support customer service team on resolution of customer queries via our tickets application

• Perform ad-hoc data analysis using internal and external data to support both management and own decision making

• Accountability to meet individual and team KPI's

• Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve claims/ non-receipts and delivery disputes

• Aiding in the completion of other departmental work to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the department as a whole to ensure great customer service is continually maintained

Your skills and experiences:

• Previous customer service experience (essential)

• Supply chain knowledge (desired)

• Ability to perform ad-hoc data analysis (essential)

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

• Ability to stay calm in pressured situations

• Excellent PC skills, specifically MS Excel with use of advanced formulas

• A positive attitude with a willingness to continuously learn
