Our client, who has multiple boutique bars and vibrant restaurants is now seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to join their team in Langham Moor, Colchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to grow and develop in your career within a well-established and supportive business. On offer is a salary of up to GBP31,000, 25 days annual leave and a great company pension.
As an Assistant Restaurant Manager your responsibilities will include
* Opening and closing the restaurant
* Scheduling shifts and assigning tables to waitstaff
* Appointing, inducting, and mentoring new staff members
* Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner
* Conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner
* Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations
* Purchasing new ingredients, kitchen utensils, and equipment as stock is damaged or depleted
* Sourcing better deals on all resources and equipment that warrant replacing or replenishing
* Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced
The ideal Assistant Restaurant Manager will have:
* A minimum of 2 years' experience working in the hospitality industry
* The ability to lead and motivate a team of staff
* An awareness of hygiene, and health and safety regulations
* Strong planning and organisational skills to run a streamlined operation
