Due to an internal promotion, our client, a leading independently run luxury hotel is looking for an experienced Banquet Manager to join their team near Twickenham, Greater London. As a Banquet Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of up to 30 staff, ensuring you provide first-class banqueting experiences to customers. For this, you will receive a salary of GBP45,000, 25 days annual leave and a great company pension.
As a Banquet Manager other dues will include:
* Coordinating details of contracts with the Operations Director and the Head Chef
* Planning the venue layout according to the number of guests and type of event
* Determining the number of waiters and servers required
* Recruiting and training new members of staff, ensuring they deliver expansional customer service
* Supervising the placement of tables, table settings, chairs and serving stations to make sure they are placed properly
* Consulting with the Head Chef to discuss the timing of the meal courses being served
* Overseeing the seating of guests, serving of meals and beverages, and the quick clearing of tables
* Managing the availability of liquor and soft drinks
* Preparing work schedules and completing documentation on time
* Answering customer questions and accommodating special requests when necessary
The ideal Banquet Manage will have:
* 3-5 years of experience in banquet management, or similar
* Exceptional ability to plan banquets, manage budgets, and meet deadlines.
* Extensive knowledge of catering equipment and venue requirements
