Why work as a Children's Social Worker and Experienced Social Worker at Suffolk County Council?

"After feeling stressed and burnt out in my previous role, I joined Suffolk County Council over a year ago and I love working here! The support I get from my manager and my team lets me have as much of a work-life balance as social work will allow. I have found the local authority to be flexible and sympathetic to the needs of me, my family and also the families we work with. There is wider recognition for the work that we do and the uncertain times we have had since the pandemic began. I feel like I enjoy my job more than I ever have and I've been doing social work for around 7 years".

We recognise that good quality health, safety and wellbeing is integral to a healthy work-life balance, and we are proud to have created a positive environment where Social Workers can achieve meaningful and impactful outcomes.
