Health Care Assistant
Our Client's Care Home Based in Portsmouth are currently looking for full time Care Assistant's to join their friendly team!
Location: Portsmouth
Setting: Care Home, 35 Bedded Home; Dementia, Old Age,
Position: Care Assistant
Hourly Rate: GBP10.10
Hours: 36-48 Hours / Alternative weekends
A typical day will involve for Care Assistant:
• Assisting residents with personal care duties such as bathing, dressing, toileting and incontinence care. Providing the highest standards of care, you'll champion the dignity, and independence of all our residents
• Supporting the Nurse or Senior Care Assistant to complete monthly and weekly checks to monitor the health of our residents and reporting any significant changes.
• Assisting with safe lifting and moving of service users, administering medication, meal preparation and planning, enabling service users to achieve independence in accordance with their care plan; providing help and general companionship whenever necessary.
• Attending planned activities: assisting the team, repositioning, providing care as necessary and taking part in day trips outside the home (day shift only)
• Admin duties: updating food, fluid and stool charts, supplementary files, daily notes and care plans
Required for Care Assistant Role:
You will need at least 6 months- 1 years' experience
You will need to be flexible to work alternative weekend's
