FIRE ALARM ENGINEER - BASIC SALARY UP TO GBP30,000 DOE
Our client are an established & very successful Fire Detection specialist company based in Hampshire who have grown significantly in the past few years. They are looking for a Fire Alarm Engineer to join their team to cover the South of England within their Installation Department.
Basic Salary up to GBP30,000 (depending on experience).
Company vehicle, fuel card & mobile phone provided.
Working hours are Monday to Friday.
Overtime available.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Carrying out full installation (1st & 2nd fixing) tasks on Fire alarm systems and Emergency lighting to a varied customer base.
• Commissioning the fire alarm systems when required. Training can be made available.
• Use existing knowledge and experience to fault find or carry out the occasional service job.
• Offering a comprehensive service to customers' in accordance with British Standards in a defined area.
• Using a company vehicle to cover the South from West London, down to Portsmouth and across the Bristol when required. You must be happy to travel in this position.
The Ideal Person:
• Somebody who has a passion for the trade and is a problem solver with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent customer communication skills, and is a team player, with a can-do attitude.
• Good knowledge of BS5839 & BS5266.
• FIA Accreditation (training provided for the right candidate).
• You should be able to manage own work and exhibit the companies vision and values.
• You must have experience working in a similar role in the fire industry.
• Ideally you will be multi disciplined in the fire industry from service, small works, fault-finding and maintenance and installations.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence - Essential for this post.
• Knowledge of Kentec, Morley, C-Tec and Advanced equipment is preferred.
