Stores Assistant & Delivery Driver
Hayley Rail is the rail industry focused division of Hayley Group Ltd. Specialising in the supply to the rail sector for 16 years, Hayley Rail provides customers with excellent service from strategic depots situated in Manchester, Oldbury, Edinburgh and West Thurrock.
Job Title: Stores Assistant & Driver / Envoy
Location: Manchester
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday (Additional working hours may be required during busy periods)
Working as a Stores Assistant & Driver/Envoy, your main duties will involve the accurate picking of orders, packing and then dispatching these goods via internal and external transport. You will also be required to assist the team in processing stock - receipting goods, completing paperwork and shelving in the correct locations.
The Driver/Envoy aspect will require you to visit customer sites and deliver stock and order the parts Hayley Group supply on VMI. They deliver to numerous points of fit across production facilities. These can be racks, cupboards, storerooms, vending machines etc.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Picking Orders
* Packing/Binning orders
* Stock Take
* Goods In - receipt of goods, loading and unloading of vehicles Ensure onsite vending machines are at agreed stock levels and are replenished correctly
* Complete scanning and replenishments of all VMI areas
* Ensure all depots within your remit are completed each day
* Complete site audits
* Ensure all customer areas controlled by Hayley Group are clean and tidy
* Identify and resolve client concerns
* Obtain PODs for all deliveries
* Comply with health and safety procedures and instructions
* Observe Quality Standard guidelines
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures
* Undertake other similar duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility for this role
Skills & Requirements
* Product knowledge of engineering consumables and fasteners are desired
* Professional level of verbal and written communication skills
* Good numerical skills
* Proficient in basic IT skills
* Valid drivin(phone number removed)g licence
* Customer focused and driven to provide consistently high levels of service
