The current opportunity is vital to maintaining the company's growth plans by successfully winning projects with a strong customer focus and with good supplier management. You will respond to customer enquiries and help find win-win solutions that will lead to successful project delivery. The company operates to high standards and expects all staff to operate with integrity. You will be one of the lead ambassadors representing the company in a demanding market. We are based in Berkshire, so living local would be a benefit.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Good communication skills with suppliers, clients, office, teams and operations
2. This is a demanding role where last-minute changes can cause pressure, and the ability to stay calm and to work through issues as they arise is a must.
3. Good attention to detail with a genuine interest in sales and business development.
4. Self-motivated with a "can do" approach and with very good IT literacy.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Maintain and build rapport with suppliers to ensure that the company is able to buy at optimum prices.
2. Ensure that supplier performance is managed and reported to the wider team.
3. Estimate material, labour & plant for bids and tenders.
4. Liaise with clients on an ongoing basis to determine the progress of tenders.
5. Ability to value engineer bids to assist clients with their budgets and to put the company at the head of the pack in competitive scenarios.
6. Preparation of detailed handovers to the project team for successful delivery.
7. Be flexible and willing to take on tasks as specified by management.
