The role
A globally recognised brand within the beauty industry is keen to bring a 3rd Line Engineer to design, install, administer, and optimise Microsoft Windows servers and related components to achieve and maintain high performance of business applications.
As a valued member of the team your responsibilities will include:
* Daily monitoring of system performance including capacity and backup verification of critical systems and data.
* Windows Server Management (OS deployments, Patch Management, Anti-Virus deployment, Application Management, Group policies, Microsoft Intune).
* Planning, coordinating and executing maintenance activities
* Virtualisation management and deployment Hyper-V, VMware (Citrix awareness beneficial but not essential)
* Administer Active Directory including Group Policies
* Investigate, administer, and monitor Office 365 Hybrid and Exchange and resolve issues when they occur
* Troubleshooting system and network problems
* Diagnose and solve hardware and software incidents/problems
* Create, manage and optimise infrastructure policies, processes and procedures
* Test, evaluate, build and implement new technology in line with business requirements
* Keep up to date with advancements in technology
* Maintain application and infrastructure security including antivirus software and endpoints.
* Wiliness to travel to other sites within the UK and globally.
