Key Responsibilities

What will the role involve?


You will develop and manage the Health and Safety digital platforms to ensure compliance and produce succinct trend analysis reports. This role will lead the operational processes for insurance, working collaboratively with the Finance team and improving operational efficiency.

  • Liaise with Directors, Heads of Departments & Senior Managers to raise and maintain awareness of health & safety related issues and to ensure that risk is appropriately managed within their areas
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure that they have sufficient risk assessments, insurance, communication platforms and PPE
  • Identify health and safety training needs for departments, organising training and carrying out health and safety briefings for management and staff
  • Create templates, processes and standardised documentation, ensuring they are user-friendly, accurate and on-brand
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure that health and safety performance is monitored, ensuring appropriate action plans are developed to address any actions

The Ideal Candidate

Who are we looking for?


You will have recent proven experience of working in a health and safety role at a similar level and bringing about culture change within an organisation. You will demonstrate an excellent knowledge of health and safety combined with proven experience in managing digital health and safety platforms.


Essential

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years working in a health and safety role
  • IT proficient with competence in implementing digital health and safety platforms
  • Experience in training, coaching and mentoring to develop health and safety knowledge
  • Travel safety knowledge
  • Thorough understanding of risk assessments and ability to produce sensible pragmatic solutions
  • A flexible approach, initiative and perseverance
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to persuasively communicate and garner support for ideas to drive positive change


Desirable

  • Experience in data analysis and external benchmarking
  • Experience working with insurers and managing insurance claims
  • Experience in personal safety
  • Graduate membership of IOSH
  • Training qualification e. PTLLS
  • Previous newsgathering or media experience
