EstimatorCivils ContractorPrestonUp to GBP55,000We are working alongside a well known civil engineering contractor who due to continuous growth are seeking an Estimator or Snr. Estimator to join their established team in Preston. Ideally you will have spent at least 5-10 years within the industry and will be familiar with responsibilities such as preparation, submission and cost estimates, programmes and quality responses for tenders alongside additional duties. You must hold a BSc or NVQ4 or equivalent. You'll need to be organised and methodical, being able to recognise and source additional resources required to produce estimates and recognise submission requirements to compile a logical sequence of actions necessary to achieve regular deadlines. You must be able to demonstrate good knowledge of construction techniques and processes with sound knowledge of market rates and prices whilst being able to price activities from 1st Principles. You should have the ability and knowledge to assemble an estimate with or without use of estimating software package. Finally, you will be an excellent communicator and enjoy being able to motivate and influence people.
