Accounts Trainee AAT

Our client is a successful accountancy practice now seeking ambitious Accountant Trainees to work in their busy outsourcing team. You will need to be prepared to study in your own time too in order to make sure that you get the most from your studies and of course to achieve exam success. Alongside this you will be developing your skills and knowledge by undertaking a wide range of work in the office, as well as development sessions as part of the trainee programme. Over the course of the programme you will cover a full range of business advisory and accounts work, which will both reinforce and enhance your studies and help you to achieve your goal of becoming a qualified accountant and successful business advisor. Your role:

Coding trial balance and inserting into accounting software to generate lead schedules for file
Review of client books to support the lead schedules
Post journals, updating prepayments, accrual and depreciations
Purchase / sales ledger and processing invoices / bookkeeping
Binding file accounts and sorting client copies
Collating tax self-assessment papers
Processing expenses payments, sales invoices, credit control and month end duties
Preparing account / audit files as part of audit process
Engaging with clients to understand their systems and processes in order to address client queries. 10. Data entry and file management
