Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our clients busy multiskilled department of Design, Project Managers, Process and Commissioning and site Labour, during this sustained period of growth.

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will get the chance to help the business realise its potential and build on their great success. You will be accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
  • Implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
  • Resolves problems, completes audits, identifies trends, determines system improvements, and implements change
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions
  • Delivery of Projects, on time, within budget and in full, by use of KPI's
  • Direct Supervision of a team larger than 10
  • The need for travel is required as work area is National, with customer site related meetings

Person Specification

  • Dynamic leader with the ability to work with structured processes and manage performance
  • HNC/HND qualification as a minimum in an engineering discipline
  • HNC/HND in project management, business administration, or related field
  • Two to three years' experience as project manager preferably within our industry, but not essential
  • Proficient with spreadsheet software and project management software
  • IOSH/NEBOSH equivalent qualification or exposure to
  • Project and process management
  • Budget development and tracking
  • Mentoring and coaching
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills

Hours of Work and Pay

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8.30am to 5pm
  • Up GBP60,000
  • Car allowance or company car
  • 25 days holiday, plus 1 extra day off on your birthday
