Our business is growing and we are looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join the team.

Working closely with the Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing the delivery and all activity associated with the construction of a new fibre network utilising physical infrastructure access (PIA). You will be responsible for ensuring Flex & Civils Crews are compliant, working efficiently, safely and delivering high quality workmanship.

As the Site Supervisor you will allocate tasks safely in accordance with legislation and Avove Procedures to contract specification and programme, while effectively supervising and delivering approved construction tasks to the agreed resource and programme timescales.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise sub-contractors, contract staff and direct labour for allocated site activities
  • Carry out performance reviews for direct reports, administering poor performance, attendance management and disciplinary procedures as applicable
  • Ensure that tool box talks, task briefs and COSS briefs are carried out for all work tasks prior to commencement of work for allocated contracts
  • Responsible for ordering and receipt of site deliverables, timely returns of goods receipts notices as instructed
  • Accurate reporting of Spine & Build progress to the Operations Manager and client
  • Ensuring that all engineers accreditations are kept up to date and relevant to job role

Skills & Experience

  • NRSWA Supervisors accreditation
  • Supervisory Management training / qualification or equivalent with relevant and practical experience (desirable)
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead the site teams with minimum 4 years minimum experience either as a cabling / splicing engineer / BT civils Operative or supervisor with SPINE and PON build experience.
  • Computer literacy - Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook
  • Thorough understanding of telecoms technologies and solutions
  • Excellent understanding of NRSWA / Street works / SROH standards & compliance.
  • Excellent understanding of Noticing / Permitting regulations / requirements
