Role: HR Team Manager

Location: Shirley Solihull

Salary: GBP30 - 35,000

Hours: Full time Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

We are working exclusively on behalf of client who is seeking to recruit an experienced HR Manager to join their HR department to act as a manager for 2 HR Administrators, and work alongside the Senior HR Advisor to deliver on strategic company objectives. This is a dynamic, varied and fast paced role as a key advisory position for up to 250 employees across a number of offices.

This is a full-time office-based role predominately based at head office in Shirley Solihull. There is some flexibility around start and finish times between the hours of 8 - 6pm to suit the successful candidate, as long as they complete their contracted 37.5 weekly hours.

Role and responsibilities:

* As the Team Manager in HR you will be directly responsible for day to day line management of 2 HR Administrators to allocate workload, conduct 121s, PDPs, learning and development reviews and performance management

* Provide strict guidance and advice to managers employees on a variety of HR policies and internal procedures relating to topics such as disciplinary, grievances, whistleblowing, performance management and information governance

* Mentor and coach line managers closely through processes such as recruitment, absence and performance management

* Lead investigations with effective planning and organising of meetings, note taking during investigations and managing the process

* Effectively manage employee lifecycle events and changes such as contract changes, probations, maternity/paternity/adoption leave, sickness and salary reviews

* Manage the recruitment and onboarding of all new starters for a variety of positions such as contractors and casuals

* Collate, analyse and produce HR reports and present findings as well as identify process improvement suggestions to the Board on a regular basis

* Responsible for the management of all HR activities to ensure full adherence to compliance and set procedures in line with employment legislation

* Coordinate and support with delivery of HR projects as guided by strategic goals

* Review policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practice at all times

* Support with training managers and employees on the new HR system

* Support finance with monthly payroll preparations and act as first point of contact for any payroll queries

Skills and experience required:

* CIPD level 5 qualification or above

* Proven experience in a management or team leader role in a HR environment

* Experience in employee relations and talent management

* Up to date knowledge of HR legislation and employment law

* Experience using Natural HR database or implementing a new HR system would be advantageous
