Empowering Learning are currently recruiting on behalf of an Oldham based college for a Maths Programme Tutor as soon as possible

The Maths Programme Tutor Role:

Do you have the expertise and creativity that will enable you to motivate all of our students to demonstrate a passion for and a consistently high level of skill in maths?

If you answered a great big YES to each of the questions above, our Maths Team are looking for you to join them.

You are ideally suited to this role if you are highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to deliver engaging maths lessons in a challenging environment and relish the idea of teaching in the further education sector.

This Maths Programme Tutor role involves delivering Functional Skills maths and GCSE maths to 16-18 and Adult learners and may include delivering classes, workshops, 1:1s and intervention catch-up support.

This Maths Programme Tutor role will require you to embed and work to the college's values; working with Integrity, having Ambition to help our learners succeed and being Inclusive to learners and colleagues alike.

The Director of English and Maths says, "This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Maths team on our journey to outstanding. You will be joining a team of dedicated, conscientious and enthusiastic subject specialists to deliver a range of classes and intervention support sessions to 16-18 year olds and/or adult learners across our GCSE and Functional Skills provision. Through the role you will be supporting learners to achieve their full potential in this subject so that they are able to progress onto further education and employment opportunities."

The College is in the top quartile for 16-18 programmes of study and Maths GCSE resits, and in apprenticeship provision, but is the second highest performing provider Greater Manchester. The quality of its higher education provision is better than many established universities.
