Bennet and Game Recruitment are currently working with the one of the UK and Europe's largest Transport and Shipping companies who are now actively seeking a proven UK Haulage and Procurement Manager to join their Grimsby offices.

UK Haulage Procurement Manager Position Overview
Within this senior position, you will be responsible for the negotiation of terms and conditions with sub-contractors, maintaining consistently high standards of quality and in close co-operation with the operations and customer service teams
You will drive results with a team of colleagues based in GB, Northern Ireland and Ireland. You can expect some business travel mainly in UK and Ireland but also Europe.
Ensure that our sub-contracted fleet can live up to the demands of our customers
Recruit new subcontractors
Manage resources to meet peaks and troughs in the business.
Measure cost and utilization of the subcontract fleet via KPI's
Seek new methods of operation to improve efficiency.
Negotiate with hauliers based in the UK and Europe
Develop a pipeline of new hauliers to ensure consistent business.
Follow up and conclude on quality issues relating to sub-contractors
Required in the office 2 - 3 days per week.
UK Haulage Procurement Manager Position Requirements
Previous experience working in procurement
Come from a managerial background
Previous experience negotiating with sub-contractors
Excellent communication skills
Possess good problem solving and decision-making skills whilst being able to work under (url removed) Haulage Procurement Manager Position Remuneration
