Rigour Survey are looking to expand and bring additional land surveyors into the fold. The position will be working from our South division in Maidstone, Kent. United Kingdom.​

We operate with a clear path for progression with scope to advance from land surveying into laser scanning and beyond; mapped out with KPIs to coincide with knowledge, skills & abilities with salary transparency held at its core. ​

This job post is a generic description with a salary range of £25,000 - £31,000 depending on experience.​

The package includes a company van (although your own vehicle will be required initially), working from home, mobile phone, rewards program, pension and flexible working and daylight-saving scheme, following a probationary period.​

As a minimum we're looking for land surveyors with a minimum of 2 year's experience in the field and office.​

 

Overview​

As a Land Surveyor, you occupy an integral role within the operations company. You will hold a strong practical and theoretical survey knowledge and be competent and confident in carrying out topographical surveys.​

Your primary role is to undertake survey work to a high standard, communicating clearly with team members and site contacts. A good understanding of survey specifications and requirements is essential, as is an approachable attitude. You are expected to be competent in working and managing multiple projects.​

 

Job Role & Accountabilities​

​Fieldwork​

  • Assist in data capture and site operations.​
  • Conduct land surveys.​
  • Undertake site GNSS data capture.​

​Post-processing & computer-aided design​

  • Processing survey work to a high standard in CAD.​
  • Assist engineers in drafting survey notes and detailing deliverables.​
  • Compute basic traverse and levelling loops with associated site observations.​

Professional conduct​

  • Coordinate with other team members on field survey activities.​
  • Perform basic engineering calculations relating to survey activities.​
  • Maintain logs, reports, and records in relevant databases.​
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and guidelines in survey activities.​
  • Monitor and track personal development.​
  • Risk assess various environments to ensure safety.​
  • Meet deadlines.​
  • Be punctual.​
  • Portray a prompt and professional manner.​

 

Essential Requirements​

2 years plus, field and office experience in a similar role.​

Educated to GCSE Level (A-C Grades or equivalent).​

Full Driving License.​

Access to your own car whilst on probationary period (minimum 3 months)​

Desired Requirements​

A-Level qualifications.​

Relevant degree or qualification.​

CSCS Certified.​

DBS Checked.​
