Based out of East Leake, Loughborough when not travelling, you'll be working for BPB Ltd, as part of the GMT (Gypsum Manufacturing Technology) team, working on, and travelling to projects, globally.

GMT cooperates multiple Saint-Gobain Gypsum businesses around the world. We develop, design, and build new gypsum factories and update existing sites with new equipment and processes.

You'll have the opportunity to use modern design techniques;3D design with automated functionality, 3D scanning of existing factories, and virtual reality study.

Involves good interactions with business units across the world, presents opportunities to understand different market practices, cultures and provides travel opportunities to various sites.

Please note, this is a 24 month fixed-term contract.

Is this role right for me?

First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working. For this role in particular we are looking for someone with the following skills and expertise;

Whilst we are relatively open, we'd prefer someone who has a background in process plant construction, medium-to-large industrial construction projects, or similar.

Engineering Degree (Civil Engineering preferably)
Experience in detail design on big-scale factory layouts - Architectural, civil & structural.
Autodesk software knowledge:
a) AutoCAD
b) Revit, Tekla, Consteel etc
c) Invetors & Navisworks (interface functionalities will be an advantage)
d) Autodesk BIM cloud server knowledge to see clash checking with Revit & Inventor models.
Detailed knowledge of sub-soil structures design.
Experience in study and interpretation of geotechnical reports, soil types, contaminations, water tables, and hydrological data.
Experience in flood mapping, soil stabilization and embankments design.What will I be doing in the role?

You'll have a willingness to travel internationally; You will be travelling for approximately 6-7 months per year, to various project sites

In this role you will have responsibility for;

Delivery of process solutions to best performance at lowest cost giving due regard to safety, operability, maintainability etc.
Supporting continuous improvement of process plant design
Scope and develop initial designs and layouts for capital projects, and then expand them into detailed plans and drawings.
Provide feasibility studies, specifications and budget estimates for capital schemes
Lead the implementation of approved capital projects.
Ensure efficient handover of projects ensuring full documentation, training, support etc.
Provide support to operating plants
Support Project Managers on major projects undertaken by GMT worldwide or existing operations to deliver installations on time and to budget
Commissioning of new equipment and processes
