Duration: Ongoing
Hours: 7:15am to 4pm (Monday to Friday)

Polytec are looking for a Final Test Engineer for our Cambourne based client to test products in accordance with established procedures ensuring that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met.
Responsibilities:
* Assembly, sub-assembly and testing
* Trouble-shoot malfunctions, carrying out basic modifications as required
* Maintenance of test equipment under his/her care
* Participate in Lean activities as required
* Contribute to driving continuous improvement, identifying waste in test processes
* Maintain processes and procedures consistent with ISO standards.
Requirements:
* GCSE Mathematics and English
* Qualification in Electronics / Mechatronics (Time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, Btec Level 3 or 4-year apprenticeship)
* Experience using MS Windows
* Working in an electromechanical test environment
* Understand and follow test specifications and standard operating procedures
* Experience of fault-finding on electronic or electromechanical systems
* Proven ability to utilise user interface software to test, calibrate and operate complex electromechanical systems
* Experience of assembling and / or testing precision instrumentation
