Who are we looking for?

Totton College is looking for an Estates & Facilities Supervisor to work as part of a team which protects and maintains the Totton College campus, ensuring that college buildings, including satellite sites are maintained to a high standard and comply with relevant statutory and regulatory standards.

This role sits within Campus operations, line managed by the Campus General Operations Manager and will have three direct reports - x 2 Estates and Facilities assistants and x 1 Cleaning Supervisor.

Duties, responsibilities, and experience required, include but are not limited to:

• Previous procurement experience and negotiation skills in setting up contracts and ad-hoc purchases.

• Excellent knowledge of industry best practice regarding property management, surveying and associated activities.

• Excellent knowledge of building construction and maintenance, including relevant legislation and regulations (e.g. building control and planning regulations etc.)

• Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations, including those relating to gas, electrical and fire safety, asbestos, and legionella.

• Experience in writing risk assessment and understanding of COSHH.

The successful applicant will need to hold an English and Maths: Level 2 or above OR equivalent experience / willingness to gain.

A DBS check will be required for this role.
