Parts Advisor
Working from Sutterton, just outside Boston, this position is for a full time Parts Advisor with experience within the automotive / farm machinery industry.
As a Parts Advisor you will be making up part of a small and busy parts team. You will be an expert or have a strong knowledge of automotive parts. Very much customer facing, you will be helping customers find and buy parts for commercial farm machinery and equipment. The types of machinery will vary hugely. The position is a varied on and one day you could be sourcing a long forgotten part from a vintage tractor and the next finding shear bolts for farm drills.
As Parts advisor you will also be taking stock deliveries and putting parts away (FLT license would be an advantage) within the warehouse.
The customers could be walk in's with one off parts paying cash through to regulars with accounts.
Not all customers order in store, many chose to order on line and as the new parts advisor you will need to be computer literate. This position has come through company growth and if you have the right experience and the want, there is certainly the room for career growth. As the new parts advisor you will need to be strong in other areas too, such as:
* Computer literacy, allocating stock, generating customer accounts, invoicing, replying to customers on -line etc.
* Excellent customer service, written and verbal
* Dealing with any warranty claims and ensuring that any paperwork relating to the claim is completed in the correct fashion
* Ordering Stock
* Putting stock away in the warehouse
* Keeping a clean and tidy warehouse / shop front
As the successful parts advisor, you will need a working knowledge of vehicles, big machinery, tractors, drills, and agriculture. If you have been a parts advisor before; GREAT, if not, this role would suit a computer literate service engineer / ex-farmer or someone who knows the parts and just wants a change in career. As long as you have the basics, this is a position that you can grow in to.
This is a permanent position for a parts advisor with basic 39 hours a week. Alternative Saturday mornings, there may be overtime especially during peaks such as harvest time. Not just summer, but vegetable harvest too.
You will earn a great hourly rate depending on your experience, and 30 days holiday including stats.
