Planning Manager

Escape are working with an FMCG client who due to growth have created a new role for a Planning Manager.

Reporting into the newly appointed Supply Chain Manager the Planning Manager will work with the Planning Team to manage the flow of components and finished product throughout the Supply Chain.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Implement demand planning processes to ensure forward orders reflect availability of stock
Liaise with the Sales Team to ensure the accuracy of the forecast
Ensuring the business is purchasing materials, products and services at the most competitive price
Monitor Supplier performance against KPI's and address issues when they arise
Create stock planning sheets for new ranges to plan orders and arrivals
Management of direct containers to customers
Liaise with shipping agents and lines to keep track on containers
Negotiating freight prices
Overall day to day management, development and mentoring the team
Monitoring departmental performance against KPI'sExperience and knowledge required for the role:

Experience of working in a similar Planning/Supply Chain role within an FMCG organisation
Experience of working in an International Supply Chain environment
Strong planning and negotiation skills
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to react to the findings
Ability to build relationships with colleagues and suppliers
Ability to present ideas and concepts in a clear and concise manner
