Red Rock Partnership Limited are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Edinburgh who are looking for Machine Operatives to join their busy team.
About the position:
To ensure that the wrapping machine and associated machinery is operated and maintained in such a way as to maximise the quality of wrapping whilst minimising disruption to production.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Accurately enter the correct date code and day letter for the product, as specified by the Daily Production Plan, into the Markem/Avery coding machine and ensure the code is legible on the product wrap/label.
* Operate and maintain the wrapping machine and other related machinery ensuring the highest possible quality of wrapped product
* Maintain a tight control of the level of waste product.
* Carry out and record on the process control sheets (if applicable) periodic checks on the quality of the product and wrap.
* Ensure the good housekeeping of the work area and that hygiene schedules are strictly adhered to.
* Prior to use, ensure the wrapping machinery is in safe working condition.
* At the request of the Training Coordinator / Line Manager, support new machine operators in the learning of their duties and responsibilities.
* Carry out metal detection checks to ensure no contamination to the product.
About you:
* Previous experience desirable but not essential
* Excellent level of English
* Ability to work independently and in a team
Starting rate - GBP11.27
Shifts - rotating 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm
