We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced people manager to be the team leader of our HR administration team, that are based in Worthing, but also working remotely much of the time (1 day in the office, 4 days from home). As a key member of the HR team, this role focuses on providing a professional and first-class administrative service to all 2,600+ colleagues across the Group. This role is directly responsibility for ensuring all HR Admin work is completed to the highest standard whilst meeting the SLAs. The HR, Recruitment and Training team are a great bunch of people that collaborate well, work hard and have some fun too!

This is a busy and varied role in which you will need to hit the ground running. The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for 5 HR Administrators and will report into the Group HR Manager. Previous HR experience is desirable but not essential. Full duties are listed below.

Responsibilities:

Ownership of the employee life cycle administration processes of onboarding, change to terms & conditions, leavers, family friendly etc.
Overseeing the HR department inbox
Monitor/report and motivate the team to ensure that Service Level Agreements are being achieved.
Manage priorities and workloads across the team and support on escalations.
Ensure the HR Systems are used efficiently to meet needs of HR and the Business
Support with monthly audit checks on the data
Identify continuous process / customer service improvement opportunities and act on any feedback received
Ensure there is a robust quality assurance process in place and that we are fully compliant with legislation
Support with and propose the implementation of any new process within the HR department
Support with the annual delivery of key HR objectives
Providing hands on support in any of the HR Admin areas to cover leave or when workload volumes are high Skills:

Proven management experience in a fast paced environment managing multiple team members
Ability to coach and motivate the team in both an office and virtual environment
HR process and HR administration experience or proven track record of managing administration systems and processes
Full understanding of right to work legislation
Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel
Excellent organisation skills, accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to adapt management style to suit all team members
Ability to balance workload of yourself and others
Sound judgement and accurate decision-making/problem solving skills
Excellent customer service & communication skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
Proactive approach to problem solving and identifying beneficial process changes or value adding project suggestions
CIPD level 3 qualification or above (desirable but not essential)
Proven experience of maintaining confidentiality and working within the requirements of GDPR at all times Next Steps
