ENRICHMENT ASSISTANT

Permanent, part-time, term-time only

Hours: 10.00am to 2.30pm, Tuesday to Thursday

Salary: From £5,660.62 to £5,980.80 per annum (FTE £20,066 to £21,201 per annum)

The College is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Enrichment Assistant to join the Activities Department. The successful applicant will be required to support the Enrichment and Community provision across the College including assistance with researching potential enrichment activities, carrying out risk assessments, promoting the enrichment programme and encouraging students to participate in activities. The post holder will also support the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme (DofE), assisting with promotion, enrolment, checking and sorting equipment, and general administrative support. The successful applicant will have a good understanding of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) and have the ability to learn new systems quickly. Highly effective communication, interpersonal, time management and organisational skills are essential, along with highly developed administrative skills. The role includes a requirement to be a First Aider and to deal with incidents as required.

The post is available from 1 September 2022 and is permanent, part time, term-time (28.21%). The hours of work are from 10.00am to 2.30pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break).

The post holder will spend a significant amount of the working day interacting with students, so the ability to feel confident in the presence of and communicating with young adults is essential. The post carries an expectation for some occasional mandatory evening activities, including Open Evenings.
