Buying Assistant
An exciting opportunity for a Buyers Administration Assistant has arisen to join our client an award winning textile business. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, and able to work efficiently alone as well as part of a team. You must be able to work under pressure, managing a varied workload to ensure tight deadlines are achieved. With a desire to succeed and progress, you will be a quick learner with a happy to help attitude.
Computer literacy is essential, with knowledge of Word and Excel. Experience working in a busy buying department would be an advantage. You must be methodical and accurate in your approach to tasks, but most importantly, you will have excellent organisation and communication skills and the ability to provide complete support to the Buyer.
Key aspects of the role are:
•Administrative support to the buyer- including spreadsheet and report creation, filing paperwork, meeting room set up and other office duties as and when required.
•Sample ownership- Responsible for all aspects of the sample process from ordering with the vendor, managing the location, ensuring ready for sign off and passing to the next relevant team.
•Critical Path and tracker management- Responsible for updating the trackers and Critical Path, managing any issues with the relevant people and ensuring all deadlines are met.
•Range Building- Assist the team when range building, successfully managing new product development from concept to product launch, successfully.
•Market/trend awareness- responsible for completing regular market analysis
•System uploads and data validation - ensuring information from vendors is 100% correct and uploaded to the necessary systems.
•Vendor Management- daily communication with vendors is key to achieving results and ensuring deadlines are met. Strong communication and Negotiation skills required.
•Effectively manage own workload, be proactive within both the role and the team and create a good culture through positivity, a proactive and can-do attitude and be a strong team player.
