Our client is seeking a Shipping Specialist to provide Shipping administrative support to MADG businesses. This can include imports, exports arranging logistics and always ensuring customs compliance procedures are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Shipping & Logistics administrative support to MADG

Ensure best shipping option is taken for the specific requirement.

Co-ordinating with supply & shipping teams on delivery times, schedules & management of risk

Import and export parts and aircraft in accordance with company procedures and HMRC and DTI legislation.

Issue commercial invoices, packing lists and arrange other shipping documents such as certificates of origin, bill of lading, CMR notes etc.

Tracking shipments from collection through to successful delivery.

Advising all internal customers of progress and status in movement of goods

Regular liaison with internal customers, stakeholders, logistics companies freight forwarders and other service providers as required

Filing / organising shipping documentation to enable easy reference complied AEO standards

Qualifications

Essential:

GCSE in English and Mathematics or equivalent
Accuracy and a keen attention to detail
A strong communicator, able to work well in a team
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Strong numeracy and literacy skills
Experience of inputting and using business systems e.g. ERP
Excellent MS Excel Skills
Demonstrates a positive attitude to change and contributes to new ideas and improved ways of working

Preferred:

Experience of international shipping, logistics or freight forwarding gained within a busy and challenging business environment

Additional information

The successful Candidate will be required to hold or be eligible for UK Security Clearance. Duties may also involve occasional UK and overseas travel at short notice passport and driving licence are required
