Our Client:
Our client is an award winning, family run business specialising in the manufacturing sector. Due to expansion they are looking for another Account Manager to join their team at their production facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our clients thriving business.
Job Purpose:
To manage and grow relationships with a portfolio of existing customers by effectively communicating both commercial and technical information, co-ordinating internal departments and correctly administering appropriate processes. Responsibility will be held for maintaining and growing allocated budget. New business will be allocated within the team and responsibility will be taken to convert the enquiry and manage the client on-going.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements, key contacts and how to support their business
Increase spend year on year by working closely with the customers to achieve monthly, quarterly and yearly company sales targets and goals (with the support of the Sales team on strategic accounts)
Support the customer technically on new projects with support from the Technical Manager
Obtain accurate information to ensure all project requirements can be fulfilled
Use Company database systems to record and maintain customer information, and to manage orders
Supply customer briefs and technical information to the business, in the form of product job cards
Present information and solutions in an accurate, clear and professional manner
Follow up on all quotes to receive a customer response and maximise orders placed
Continuously look for methods to streamline workload
Exhibit good time management skills
Prepare reports for customers as required
Work independently and as part of the Account Management team
Follow up on all RFQ's (request for quote) to receive feedback and maximise order placement
Understand the Company product offering and technologies
Work within the remit of ISO9001, BRC and PS9000
Key Requirements:
Ideally educated to degree level
Preferably have equivalent experience working within the print/packaging industry
Internal Sales experience with the ability to up sell and cross sell
Solid numeracy skills
Commercial awareness
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
An ability to problem solve
A pro-active and enthusiastic approach
Experience of ISO9001, PS9000 and BRC advantageous
Experience of databases and MIS systems (ideally CERM) advantageous
Good Project Management skills
Excellent attention to detail.
