SEN Key Stage 1 Teacher - Feltham - Starting ASAP - Long Term Cover

TLTP are currently working with an OFSTED rated "Good" SEN school in Feltham. The school are looking to recruit an SEN Key Stage 1 Teacher to start ASAP.

SEN Key Stage 1 Teacher:

TLT are looking for a KS1/EYFS teacher for a class of 8 children with SLD and ASD who are working at 16-26/22-36 months in terms of understanding. They follow an EYFS curriculum but are KS1 children.
The school are looking for someone who either has experience working in an SLD school or who is quick to learn. They need to be creative and proactive and able to get to know the children so they can see them as children first and foremost and best meet their needs, encouraging them to be as independent as possible in all their learning.
You need to be willing to support the children positively in all situations.
You need to be able to work well in a team and communicate well with adults and children.
The hours are 8.30 - 3.45 with a 15 minute morning break and 45 minute lunch break for teachers. There is a teachers' meeting every Monday until 4.30pm.

The school:

This is a primary school for children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism. They cater for children from 3 to 11 years old and there are currently 140 pupils on roll across both of our sites. The school holds high expectations for their staff. The school offer on-site parking as well as strong transport links for those that would be commuting via public transport. The successful applicant will need to be available ASAP. The school require you to have an extensive knowledge of the curriculum and be able to cater to the different learning needs within the class and styles of learning. They would also like the candidate to be able to land on their feet within the role.
