We have an exciting opportunity to joining the Flight Simulation and Synthetic Trainers (FsAST) delivery team as a Service Delivery Manager, working within the Gladiator synthetic training environment at the Air Battlespace Training Centre (ABTC) at RAF Waddington.

As the primary point of contact for service delivery at the Gladiator hub, your role will be to ensure the efficient delivery of contracted products and services to enable networked simulated training exercises to be conducted by the Armed Forces. Using your experience of shaping and improving delivery, you will manage training outputs and support an agile programme of progressive improvement and adaptation including the integration of additional platforms into the system.

You will be supporting the delivery of the service in accordance with customer agreements by utilising demand, supply and project management skills and techniques. You will help deliver outcomes including identifying risks and mitigating actions whilst engaging with stakeholders. Your approach will be to listen, understand and respect the value of different views, ideas, and ways of working to make ongoing improvements to delivery.

To succeed, you will need to be proactive with a continuous improvement mindset and a self-starter. You will seek information, resources, and support from others, and reach back to the core FsAST Delivery Team based at Abbey Wood in Bristol to help achieve the results required and will routinely interact with other functional specialists.

Your work will support the outputs of the ABTC, and you will work closely with them to understand where the agile development of the service may be directed to better integrate other user platforms or improve training effectiveness and support change control for agreed changes.

In this role, you will be entrusted with:

* Oversight of Gladiator service delivery to achieve and sustain the required training output levels defined by the ABTC.
* Identifying training system issues and change packages, working with the contractor and Air customer to rectify, introduce remedies and enhancements with sound configuration management whilst maintaining security
* Providing support to the FsAST Delivery Team and Air customer as required.
* Providing accurate reporting and trend analysis of training outputs including Gladiator availability and KPIs through contractor monitoring and liaison.
* Producing business cases where applicable for any necessary changes.

What you will be assessed against

To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:

* Experience of working and managing within at least one of the following fields: Operations Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or Commercial.
* Demonstrable examples of developing and managing teams through a change that improve the delivery of an output that is valuable to the customer and the company.
* Skilled in stakeholder management, internally and externally.
