GRP and Paint Finisher
Marine resources are currently looking for a GRP & Paint Repair specialist to join our clients expanding team of dedicated craftsmen.
Working in a leading independent yacht refit, repair and maintenance service centre, you will be part of an extensive and varied team of marine professionals from joiners to riggers.
Our client is equipped to cover all manner of works from annual maintenance through to full refit accommodating vessels measuring up to 40m.
Job duties may include:
Filling, fairing and finish damaged GRP/fibreglass and painted surfaces
Distortion repairs, forming profiles and shapes.
Recognising and understanding chemicals and materials used in repair processes.
Applicants should be confident with:
Competent with the application of gel in disciplines such as gel repairs, new job complete re-gel & wax gelling
Competent at using fillers on the side of a large job and being able to longboard (fair) to the correct shape prior to gelling
Competent at reverse repairs with laminating skills
Use of the tools of the trade. Electric buffers, extraction unit, routers, grinders, electric drill, long boards etc.

Colour matching
Experience in the marine industry is essential for this role.
