Position - Children's Registered Manager
Type of Contract - Permanent
Salary - GBP40,000 to GBP45,000 p.a.
Hours - 40 hours per week although flexibility may be required to work across and support the management of the 24/7 operation
Location - Nr Beer, Devon

About the role - This role involves developing and building a new service and the on-boarding new residents. You will lead the admissions process and approve any new referrals. You and your team will prepare residents for return to foster/family care/independent living. Duties include but are not limited to the training and recruitment of staff on topics such as safeguarding, dealing with challenging behaviour, administering of medication, dealing with attachment and trauma and following care plans. Also, working alongside specialist agencies and local authorities
Type of person required - We are looking for an experienced manager , who can be Deputy level, who has worked in children's residential care. You will be a strong role model and able to lead and develop a team of staff. Knowledge of managing behaviours that at times can be challenging, thorough understanding of the Children's Act and can drive continuous improvement is required
Qualifications required - Ideally but not essentially Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Child Care (England) qualified or above and a Level 3 CCYP
